Most of all, discipleship means the process of following. The essence of being a disciple or a follower of Christ is to grow in a relationship with him. In the process of growing in our relationship with Jesus, we discover his heart and love for his people and for those that don’t know him yet. As we build relationally in EN Sydney, our heart is to reach the city by raising and releasing disciple-making disciples in every sphere of culture.
HOW DO WE DO DISCIPLESHIP?
At EN Sydney, discipleship takes place most effectively in small groups known as Life Groups: clusters within the community that experience Christ-centred life together. We see being involved in Life Groups as a top priority in our church life, as they are strategically purposed to assist the development of disciples in their walk with God.
THE DISCIPLESHIP PROCESS
Luke 15:1-7, 1 Corinthians 9:22 Because lost people matter to God, we first of all ENGAGE our culture and community.
Matthew 7:24-27, 1 Corinthians 3:10 Because every church and Life Group will grow as it is built on Christ, we also ESTABLISH biblical foundations.
Matthew 4:19, Ephesians 4:11-13 Because ministry is not only for full-time ministers, we therefore EQUIP believers to minister.
Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Timothy 2:2 Because everyone is called to make disciples, as a result we EMPOWER disciples to make disciples.
